 Poultry Housing
We use quality materials to make house that last.
We supply all forms of commercial poultry housing including broiler, free range and organic and breeder and pullet rearing units. All are built from top quality materials.
Our external timbers are vacuum pressure treated and finished with green or cedar-wood brown preservative. This double treatment ensures excellent durability and guarantees that Killen timber housing stands the test of time. And it makes our houses merge with the natural tones of the rural environment
Alternatively, you should consider our new KillenClad system. This is available in ‘rural-friendly’ green, with a limited 25 year manufacturer’s guarantee as standard.
Killen houses are supplied with a choice of roof sheeting, including polyester coated galvanised steel in a variety of colours or aluminum.
The roof and wall panels of our buildings are insulated with fibreglass wool. This is laid on top of a polythene vapour barrier which prevents dust and moisture affecting the energy efficiency of the insulation.
Killen houses are internally lined with asbestos-free, compressed cement fibreboards, designed specifically for use in poultry housing.
We provide a flexible internal design service which includes stores and link-ups and incorporates any style of controlled environment or natural ventilation system.
We also supply housing which meet British Standards, including BS 5502, and Structural Eurocodes and are continually researching and testing new materials to find the best solutions at the best prices. | The KillenClad System
KillenClad is our new external cladding system.
With KillenClad you can wave goodbye to external maintenance work. It’s available only from James Killen Ltd. and, unlike traditional cladding products, is virtually maintenance-free.
It’s also environmentally-friendly, as it’s manufactured from recycled materials and can be fully-recycled. This reduces landfill and contributes to a better environment.
